What’s Brewing | An Overview of Water Use in Bend and the Deschutes Basin
What’s Brewing is back! The Bend Chamber is excited to bring the business community together to discuss local industry trends, legislative updates and the ongoing challenges and opportunities for Bend and Central Oregon.
This is an opportunity for community leaders, educators and future thinkers to discuss the landscape and foundation of Bend business. You will hear from industry professionals, local government officials and community experts, all while enjoying delicious, locally brewed beer.
Join us on August 3 at 10 Barrel Eastside for a conversation about Water. We will be joined by Oregon Water Resource Department’s Watermaster, Jeremy Giffin, and Utility Department Director at the City of Bend, Michael Buettner.
Jeremy will lead a discussion on the geology, hydrology and water regulation of the upper Deschutes river basin. Michael will then discuss an overview of the City of Bend’s water system, how the community uses its water, and how they are planning for the future. They will also be discussing tools available for local businesses to allow them to do more with less.
