The Environmental Center is partnering with Good Bike Co. in Prineville and OSPIRG Foundation to bring you Green Drinks: Right to Repair Edition.
We are inviting Good Bike Co. to talk about spring bicycle prep , bicycle maintenance, and demonstrate an easy bicycle repair how-to all about prolonging the life of your bicycle.
Good Bike Co. opened their doors in the summer of 2014 in a former 1940’s gas station. A local, independent bike shop located at the crosshairs of the Oregon Outback and the TransAm Bicycle Trail in the high desert town of Prineville, Oregon. They are a complete repair service, sales, and adventure cycling shop serving Central Oregon, Ochoco National Forest, and greater Oregon. Here for all your mountain biking, bikepacking, and adventure cycling needs.
You’ll also hear from Charlie Fisher, State Director of OSPIRG talk about the Right to Repair legislation.
Charlie will give an overview of Oregon’s Right to Repair legislation that is currently active in the Senate Committee on Business and Labor. He will cover:
–what is the right to repair?
–why does it matter?
–how is it related to bicycles?
–what can you do to stand up for your Right to Repair?
–status of current Repair legislation in the 2021 Oregon session
