Embrace Bend is excited to announce our Ideas Lab. As our organization grows with our community, we noticed some gaps and would like to provide space for collaboration. We plan to have a regular Ideas Lab where community members can come together, network, and collaborate on ways we can support each other. This month, one of our board members, Kathi Barguil, will be leading us through a discussion on how we can support small businesses owned by people of color.
Join Embrace Bend and our partners for an evening centered around building up BILAPOC owned and managed businesses in Central Oregon!
We will be hosting a panel of speakers from diverse industries and entrepreneurial experiences with the aim of showcasing the breadth and depth of talent, creativity, and perseverance among our BILAPOC community.
Also featured are a select cohort of businesses in C.O. offering a wide-range of goods and services – rather than vending in a market setup, the goal of the event is for these business owners to network with each other and attendees from the business community to promote collaboration, direct sourcing of their goods and services, and greater visibility to the Central Oregon business community.
Some of the businesses participating in either capacity include:
Consciously Curly Co.
Team Birtola Realty
English 2 Spanish
Wild Rose
Witchcrafting with Josie
Anatomical Heart Counseling
Fresco & Fryed
The Cuban Kitchen
Darkhorse Warriors
Elif Koyuturk
Ancient Hands Massage Therapy
We will also feature community organizations working in this space to build resiliency in our local small business network and to highlight resources accessible to all with entrepreneurial visions.
