The Chief of the Prineville Police Department, Dale Cummins, posted a video to social media attacking a Prineville resident by name. That video needs to be removed. There must be accountability for the PPD using the full weight of their authority to target a resident in this manner.
Additionally, last week, after a peaceful protest was interrupted by an agitator attacking protesters, PPD arrested the protesters! The man who initiated the attack was not so much as cited.
At that same incident, PPD officers attacked and arrested a veteran who was filming the altercation on the pretext that he was “interfering” in police activity.
Other agitators showed up, including a man who made terroristic threats to shoot the place up – and PPD again did nothing.
Show up. Be there. Say enough.
And wear a mask.
